I keep asking myself “why” is Allen in this competition.  When he sings his mouth goes to the right, he can’t hit most of the notes he’s trying for and his singing “chops” are less than desirable.  At lease Danny Gokey could sing better than Allen, but this is always the way it happens.  The panel chooses someone who is less talented than the maini guy, and in this case Allen is the second choice.  I imagine that some of those million voters out there, would prefer Allen to Adam as Adam is quite eccentric and doesn’t hide that he is openly gay.  Adam is a gifted performer, no matter what his personal choices are and his stage prescence is that of a pro.  No matter who wins, both will get record deals, but I believe Allen will fall by the wayside just as Taylor Hicks did.  Taylor has never had the success of those before him, i.e., Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.  But, then again, Jennifer Hudson didn’t do that well on Idol, yet she has won an “Oscar” and has done two major motion pictures.  I’m sure we’ll hear of her on Broadway soon.
